Street Market Survey

Street Market Survey

Derwent Valley Council will conduct a survey of Saturday Street Market stallholders and the community at the completion of its trial market period, to establish community, business and stallholder engagement with a market in the centre of New Norfolk’s retail precinct.

The online survey, which will be posted on the Council’s website and available in a hard copy version at the council’s office in Circle Street New Norfolk, will run until the end of March and will inform Council on the market’s relevance and importance in the life of the local community

Participants will be asked to reflect on the stallholder products displayed, the best day of the weekend for the market, whether a future night market is desirable and whether external factors such as climate have affected their market attendance.

Following a report to Council on the survey results, the information gathered will be added to the council website.
