ROAD CLOSURES - Update 22 May 2018

Derwent Valley Council Municipal Area Road Closures

Lachlan - Hansons Road bridge and the road network past to the North.

Molesworth – Glen Dhu Road is now open to local light vehicle traffic with limitations of 5T weight limit past the fourth bridge (timber bridge approximately 3.8km off Molesworth Road). 

Please take care and drive to the conditions, as Council continues to address the uneven surfaces of road sections between bridges.  Council will continue to have heavy machinery operating in the area whilst works continue. 

Please drive safely and observe all signage and direction by Council staff at all times. We thank you for your assistance and co-operation whilst we continue to reinstate infrastructure. 

Facility Closures – Tynwald Park until further notice.

- beware of fallen trees.
- do not drive, walk, play, ride or swim through flood waters
- do not go near storm drains and pipes, causeways and waterways, ravines and rivers
- keep your phone charged in case of power outages
- move livestock to higher ground
- ensure your pets are safe.
